Duane Reade – the NYC drugstore chain – is the 1st US Retail Pharmacy to use EVs.  The trucks, Newton models from Smith Electric Vehicles – “ … can travel up to 100 miles on a single overnight charge. … operating costs over one year are one-third to one-half those for a conventional diesel vehicle … Newton also uses regenerative braking … [to] charge to the truck’s battery …”
